It serves as an educational center of the National Audubon Society, dedicated to connecting people with nature. The historic three-story stone farmstone contains a museum displaying original Audubon prints, oil painting, and Audubon memorabilia.Peter Wentz Farmstead610-584-5104The mission of the Peter Wentz Farmstead Society is to preserve and interpret an 18th century Pennsylvania German farmstead, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, by stimulating public interest and support of the site's heritage through educational programs and public events focusing on the architecture, crafts, customs and furnishings of the period.Perkiomen TrailThe 19-mile Perkiomen Trail runs through the Perkiomen Creek Valley from its junction with the Schuylkill River Trail at Oaks, Upper Providence Township to the largest County Park, Green Lane Park. It passes directly through ten (10) municipalities making connections to numerous municipal parks and open spaces along the scenic waterway. First floor of mansion and restrooms are handicap accessible.Pottsgrove ManorThe manor house exemplifies the restrained elegance of early Georgian architecture popular with wealthy English gentry during the mid-18th century. Built in 1752 for John Potts, ironmaster and founder of Pottstown, the mansion was situated on a 1,000 acre plantation, which by 1762 included the town of "Pottsgrove." The mansion has been restored to recreate the lifestyle and times of the Potts family. Known as the world's biggest little water park, the Water World park is 6 acres sitting on a 56 acre track in beautiful northern Chester County, PA. In the center of the park is a half-million gallon Olympic-sized pool with a separate area for two Water Slides and a Jungle Rope Swing. Next to the main pool is a beautiful kiddie pool with play ship and slide. The 18-hole Skippack Golf Club facility in Skippack, Pennsylvania features 6,007 yards of golf with a par of 70. The course rating is 69 and it has a slope rating of 120. Designed by Herris & Benahia, the Skippack Golf Club opened in 1950. X.G. Hassenplug redesigned this course in 1988. This course features small undulating greens that are hard to hit in regulation.
